Digger – As Above, So Below – 2021

I must confess that I don’t fully understand what the title of this album – As Above, So Below means. But I do believe it references to what we do in this life will judge us in the next or something like that. It’s that the same as karma? What goes around, comes around? Well, I don’t know. Digger is a Czech band which I know nothing about. This is the first I ever heard with them and I kinda like the music for the most part. I think it would benefit from better production and I don’t like the vocals so much. I’ve very sensitive to voices so few singers impress me anyway. But the music is hard and heavy and with pretty cool riffs now and again. The background vocals bring my mind to the masculine choir of bands like Accept. That’s a compliment since I really like that with Accept (among other things). If just the head vocal were a little more charismatic, maybe I would have felt inspired enough to listen to the lyrics. But that was not the case today.
