Black Star Riders, Thin Lizzy without Lynott The members of Black Star Riders have a history in another band called Thin Lizzy. No introduction is needed but apparently they’ve continued to tour and considered themselves to be more of a tribute band. That seems natural because there couldn’t really be a ‘real’ Thin Lizzy without Phil Lynott who died in 1986. It would be just as impossible as having Motörhead going on tour without Lemmy....
