The Hawkins – Aint Rock n Roll – 2017

Aint Rock n RollThis album is really falsely named. Aint Rock n Roll is such a lie. Because Rock n Roll is exactly what it is! That’s the closest genre to describe the album anyway. If I were to compare to something it would be a crossover between the Hellacopters and Motörhead. But never mind that now. The Hawkins has attitude and there’s a lot of energy in the music. I don’t think I ever heard something like it.

There are ten songs on the albums. Most of them have this amazing energy. It’s easy to get into the music and It takes just a couple of times before you learn some of the easy lyrics. At least the choruses. If you really get the depth of them is another thing completely. And I don’t know if there is any deeper meaning either. I don’t care. This is party rock n roll and that’s all I need. I think you should check this band out!
