Extreme Aggression is the fourth album of the German Thrash Metal band Kreator. I think it’s more or less a continuation of what they did on the previous album Terrible Certainty. There’s one important difference though. The production suits my ears much better. It’s not that muddy dark tone with lots a of bass anymore. Extreme Aggression is lighter and perhaps ever tighter in some aspects.
The title reflects the album perfectly. It sounds just like how you would imagine it to sound. The mix is much better than on the previous album but still, there is not much development musicwise here. In all honesty, I don’t know what more to describe it as. Extreme Aggression is a fine album and a step in the right direction from the past.
All music is credited to the band collectively while the lyrics is solely written by guitarist and vocalist Mille Petrozza. Drums is yet again handled by Jürgen Reil, and the bass by Rob Fioretti. I can’t really claims that I listen to the lyrics a lot (because I can’t hear them most of the time) but if I were to dissect what I do here is that it has come a long way from the beginning. There’s more thought behind the lyrics here than the initial anger and aggression on the first albums.
