Ordinary Decent Life is the third studio album from the French band Heresy. There are a couple of other bands with the same name so it’s easy to mix them together. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every band in history had its own unique name? I’m not sure if the irony comes across. I realize of course that is impossible.
I like the thrashy Heavy Metal on Ordinary Decent Life. It’s nothing extreme and it’s nothing that really stands out in a positive or negative way. The band has taken 5-6 years between their albums which tells me that they don’t make any compromises. That is a good quality. What would make this a much better album though is more conventional production values. The sound is a little murky and I think that the vocals are a bit underproduced.
