Cause for Conflict is the seventh studio album by Kreator. Like their previous album Renewal, Cause for Conflict doesn’t seem to be very popular among fans and critics. I think it’s a step back to the more “pure” Thrash Metal the band made in their previous albums. Obviously there’s still Industrial elements in there too. I don’t think they’re as prominent as in the previous album though.
There’s speed, Thrash, Industry and some more mature vocals to be found here. Ok, there might not be many songs I can hum after listen to the album. But I don’t think there’s too many before this either. I think these songs are as good ever so far in their discography.
Apparently Jürgen Reil and Rob Fioretti left the band when Cause for Conflict was made. Maybe because of creative differences? I don’t know, don’t quote me on that. It seems suspicious that Jürgen left and then came back an album later again. I don’t know. I don’t complain about the drumming though. I think it fits the songs and I’m not sure I can determine if the bass part are any different.
In either case, Mille Petrozza wrote all the lyrics again while Kreator as aband is credited with the music. And Kreator during the conception of Cause for Conflict dis also include Frank Godzdik on guitar, Christian Giesler on bass and Joe Cangelosi on the drums. I this is showing Kreator back in full force!
