Eyes of Nebulas is an album by the Polish Metal band Blind Salvation. I can’t find too much information online. But they’re on Encyclopedia Metallum at least. There’s only one album listed – Eyes of Nebulas. I guess this means that this is either their only album or that no one has had the energy to enter more information yet. I think the former alternative is the most plausible one.
Eyes of Nebulas soon becomes really aggressive and with harsh growling they take the form of Death Metal. I know there’s a plethora of subgenres to Death Metal these days but I must confess that I’m not too familiar with the subtleties that distinguish them. It’s not riff based and I guess it’s not the most technical version of the genre. It’s more like the grinding kind. Fast drums and fast guitars with a lot of tremolo picking.
I’m into my second time listening to Eyes of Nebulas now and I’m starting to find more nuances already. The first time I just though it was one tempo and nothing special really. But this grows on me. But to be honest with you, Death Metal is usually not my favorite genre. There are exceptions of course, as there are in every genre out there, but usually I listen to it and then I forget all about it.
While listening it’s a good experience though, and I think it would benefit from really listening, not just hearing. You understand the difference. You need to be conscious about it to find the finer things between all the brutality.
