Firehouse – Firehouse – 1990

Firehouse

Firehouse is the self-titled debut album of the American Hair Metal band with the same name (duh!). Looking at various pictures of the band today, there might not be so much hair though. I guess Pop Metal is a better word. It’s somewhat catchier melodies and more radio-friendly rock than classic Hardrock. But there’s not so much difference. But why am I telling you this? If you’re here reading about this band you already know the Hair Metal Concept, don’t you?

It’s ox music, nothing that stands out very much for me. It’s what to expect from a debut album in the early 90s. pretty boring but not boring enough to not be listenable. It’s actually quite heavy and not with the catchy melodies that for instance Europe had in their heyday. It has a very slick sound and the album is well-produced. For my own personal taste, it’s almost a bit over-produced.
