Skeletá is the sixth studio album by Ghost. In many ways I think it’s the most “Metal” of all the albums so far, but it’s also quite dull compared to the last few albums. The collaboration between Tobias Forge and Vincent Pontare is still very much present. Salem Al Fakir’s contribution to this album is very sparse though.
As I said, Skeletá is somewhat “harder” and more riff-based than some of the previous albums but it also has a very soft edge to it. It’s really hard to describe. I would have wanted a bit more development in the sound. But the core is the same as it has always been. It’s absolutely an album worth repeating a few times since it’s very smooth in its songwriting. For lack of better words, it’s very easy listening.
