Kreator – Krushers of the World – 2026
Krushers of the World is Kreators sixteenth studio album. They’ve been at it for a long time now. And this is something I usually don’ t do, or like to do. I’m in the process of going through their entire discography and I like to do that chronologically. And, then they go ahead and have the bad taste of releasing something new in the middle of my process? Couldn’t they’ve had a little better timing? The irony is flooding of course. Not that I like to go through film- and discographies chronologically, but that it’s bas tast releasing Krushers of the work whilst I’m not finished with the previous albums.
But this also means that I don’t have the full historical picture before this review. Well, let’s give it a go. Again, I don’t know the latter part of their discography but I find this to be a little more melodic than the last few albums I have reviewed by them. That might be a good thing and it might not be. The downside of making it too melodic is that the aggression gets kind of lost in the process. There is more finesse and thought through composition that might deflect some of the ingenuity.
I find that it’s a regular verse chorus structure on most, if not all, of the songs which is kind of boring. Thereäs also the same concept of bringing in all the harmonies from the guitars in the choruses to create something that almost sounds like a background chord played by some kind of keyboard. I think that takes something away.
I have listened to it for a few times now though and I must say that it grows on me, it might continue to do so. But as this is new and I want to publish it I must go with what I have at this point. Ratings and opinions are, as always, time-sensitive anyway. There are so many variables, besides the actual product to take into consideration over time.
Mille Petrozza has written all the lyrics as usual, but this time also all the music. Jürgen Reil is behind the drums. lead guitar by Sami Yli-Sirniö, and bass duties, Frédéric Leclercq.
